Lella Boutique
Vanessa Goertzen's mother shared her sewing and design knowledge with her since she was a little girl. Vanessa finds herself revisiting her childhood quite often as a source of inspiration. She decided to start a blog and pattern company called Lella Boutique. When she tried to come up with a business name, she kept thinking about a sweet pink toddler dress that her mom made for her to twirl around in. She called it her “Lella” dress–“Lella” being her way of saying “Cinderella” at that age. She could think of no sweeter emblem than that beloved dress to remind her to incorporate all of those wonderful childhood elements into her creative process.
