Images from the Ukraine border and from within Ukraine are disturbing and heartbreaking. Many of us have turned to quilting and other creative outlets to express our emotions. We are grateful for Maria Thomas of North Olmsted, who collaborated with us to create the beautiful sunflower quilt that is in our shop window. We send our love and support to all people impacted by this war. Please continue to pray and work for peace.

| The Advocacy Project: Sister Artists 2 |

Sister Artists from Kangemi |
| Sister Artists 2 is The Advocacy Project's second quilt initiative to connect fiber artists in the Global South with quilters in the North. It is built around 41 embroidered animal designs that were made at the height of the pandemic by women in the informal settlements of Kibera and Kangemi, in Nairobi. Their blocks have been turned into quilts by art quilters from North America. The quilts will be exhibited at the Textile Museum in Washington, DC, March 11-12, and will be auctioned online now through March 19 (11:59pm EST), with profits going back to the Kenyan sister artists. |

The parking lot directly behind our building, accessible from both Westwood Avenue and Rosewood Avenue, occasionally has spaces available. You are welcomed to park there during store hours.
Street parking is also available. Some spaces are metered on and near Detroit Avenue. Nighttime and weekend metered parking is free. |
